A woman filed yesterday a $1.2 million lawsuit in federal court against the CNMI government and other co-defendants over her alleged forced removal from her house on Rota by a police officer and other persons and her detention in the psychiatric ward of the Commonwealth Health Center on Saipan. Tuesday, October 14, 2014: Disability employment training for employers:
Gov. Eloy S. Inos proclaimed October as National Disability Employment Awareness Month on Oct. 3, 2014. As part of the NDEAM awareness activities, the planning committee has lined up a series of workshops/trainings this month to benefit employers by way of increasing their awareness and understanding of disability employment issues.

A complaint filed by a father against the Public School System in July brought to light the termination of certain services as provided to his special-needs daughter. The complaint was resolved in Sept. 4 when PSS agreed to meet the proposed resolutions in the complaint.
